From Roberta:
Hard to believe I have been retired
for over 17 years now.
The post pandemic years have been less restrictive for us. I still miss the vacations we used to take and regret the timeshare financial situation.
I am no longer volunteering at CONTACT, feel quite estranged from Eastampton rec actities. I continue as an active volunteer SHIP counselor and am currently serving as Secretary while serving on the Friends of the Burlington County Library Board. Tax season is rapidly approaching and I see there are going to be a lot of changes. Wish me luck! I am the BCREA eblaster and photographer.
We keep busy with movie going, tv watching, and computer playing. I try keeping up with three blog sites and finance management. I seem to do a lot of lunches out. We still dance, though not as much as we used to. Tom's health is a big factor.
Tom's medical history these last years has included bladder cancer, skin cancer twice, neck surgery, plantars faciatis, knee replacement, cataract eye surgery, and surgery for a torn meniscus. He has some back and neck and hip issues now in addition to diabetes, afib, and his bladder cancer is always a possibility for returning. He sees a chiropractor and pain management doctor, and is no longer bowling or golfing. (The pandemic didn't help). Last year he had eyelid surgery and replacement for skin cancer, hip replacement and another skin cancer surgery. More recently he has had bells palsy, shingles and related facial issues, and uretal issues with surgery and suspicion of cancer with kidney romoval as a threat.
